Job Description

You will own the complete shop drawing process for architectural casework projects, transforming contract drawings into detailed fabrication packages that drive production. Working directly with the engineering team, you will be responsible for developing precise AutoCAD drawings based on project scope sheets and company standards. This is a high-impact role where your technical accuracy and ability to meet project deadlines will directly support the company's production capacity and client commitments.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete shop drawing packages from contract drawings and scope sheets for architectural casework projects.
• Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings following established company drafting standards and specifications.
• Review project scope sheets to determine accurate drafting requirements and deliverables.
• Manage multiple project timelines with typical turnarounds of up to two weeks per project.
• Utilize Epicor ERP system for project coordination and file management when needed.
• Maintain organized drawing files and ensure version control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project progress and any technical questions with the engineering team.
• Deliver drawings that meet fabrication requirements and quality standards consistently.

Must-Have Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for architectural or fabrication drawings.
• Experience creating shop drawings or fabrication packages.
• Ability to interpret architectural contract drawings and scope documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
• Capability to manage deadlines and deliver projects within specified timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have an existing AutoCAD license.
• Experience with Epicor ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
• Background in architectural casework, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing industries.
• Experience with architectural millwork or custom fabrication drawings.
