Our client is looking for a versatile and proactive Accounts & Bookkeeping Specialist (Xero) to support a lean team managing a $7M annual turnover crane operations business. This role is essential for maintaining the financial and administrative health of the company as it navigates a dynamic project-based environment. You will be responsible for everything from accurate invoice processing to managing complex tender paperwork. Monday - Friday, AEST, (20 hours per week) Note: Flexible schedule within Sydney, Australia timezone.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Process invoices accurately, manage accounts receivable, and handle weekly payroll processing.
- Compliance & Tenders: Manage tender paperwork and ensure all compliance documentation is up to date for new projects.
- Client Support: Respond to client requests for paperwork and provide high-level administrative support.
- Debt Collection: Conduct professional debt collection follow-ups via phone when required to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and organized records of all financial and administrative documentation.
- Operational Support: Assist with sporadic and ad-hoc tasks as projects are secured and gradually take on more operational duties.
Requirements
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Xero accounting software.
- Professional Background: Previous bookkeeping or administrative experience in corporate office environments.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills for effective client interaction and debt collection.
- Detail Orientation: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn company-specific processes, pricing structures, and crane industry requirements.
- Proactive Mindset: A problem-solving approach to task management in a fast-paced setting.
