Content & Digital Marketing Assistant

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a production-focused Content & Digital Marketing Assistant to support day-to-day marketing execution. This role centers on social media management, email marketing production, and graphic asset creation. The ideal candidate is someone who can handle content assembly and scheduling while staying updated on pop culture trends to ensure brand relevance.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM NZST (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities Social Media Management

  • Assist in managing social media content creation and posting schedules.
  • Monitor TikTok trends and relevant pop culture updates (Anime, Gaming, Marvel, Disney, etc.) to inform content.
  • Provide simple monthly social media performance summaries.

EDM Production Support

  • Build and format weekly Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) campaigns in Mailchimp.
  • Design and prepare high-quality visual sections for various email campaigns.

Graphic Asset Creation

  • Create promotional posters and digital graphics using Canva.
  • Design retail-specific assets including end cap graphics, shelf strips, and Point of Sale (POS) materials.
  • Update website banners and promotional visuals to align with current campaigns.

Requirements

  • Software Proficiency: Expert in Canva and experience using Meta Business Suite.
  • Technical Skills: Basic video editing skills and comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Communication: Strong written English communication skills.
  • Cultural Fit: High familiarity with pop culture trends and fan communities.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage production tasks and content assembly independently.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms (Preferred).
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics (Preferred).
  • Previous experience in retail or e-commerce environments (Preferred).

Side Note This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
