Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented, mid-level Construction Takeoff & Detailing Specialist (Bluebeam & AutoCAD) to support their commercial construction projects. In this role, you will review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings, perform precise material quantity takeoffs, and compile organized material breakdowns. Your expertise in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and structural steel will directly support the estimating team in producing accurate calculations and preparing quotes.

Schedule:

• Part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Washington, OK Time (Central Time)

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs for beams, columns, trusses, purlins, girts, fasteners, metal panels, and other structural components.
• Prepare accurate and organized material lists and quantity breakdowns for the estimator.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues within construction drawings.
• Assist with CAD drawings, structural detailing, and plan revisions as needed.
• Coordinate with the estimator to ensure accurate material calculations and efficient quote preparation.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in construction takeoffs, estimating support, or structural steel detailing.
• Experience or working knowledge of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and structural steel construction.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material quantity calculations.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prepare clear material breakdowns.

Nice-to-Have

• Previous experience supporting construction estimators, steel fabricators, or metal building contractors.
• Familiarity with construction estimating and quantity takeoff software.
• Experience with structural detailing and construction plan revisions.
