Key Responsibilities

  • Update estimates and procurement schedules when drawings, project scopes, or requirements change.
  • Coordinate with builders, project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to clarify technical and pricing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate estimating documentation and deliver complete, commercially sound estimates within agreed deadlines.

Requirements and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Australian residential construction methods, materials, terminology, and pricing.
  • At least five years of relevant residential construction experience covering estimating, BOQs, take-offs, and procurement.
  • Recent Australian construction market experience within the past two years.
  • Proven ability to interpret architectural, structural, engineering, and construction drawings.
  • Experience reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations and comparing project costs.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify scope gaps, pricing discrepancies, and cost risks.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
