Marketing and Ecommerce Assistant

Overview

Our client is looking for a Marketing and Ecommerce Assistant to own a growing piece of their marketing and online sales operations. In this role, you will run paid campaigns across Meta and Google Ads, create engaging content and email marketing, and keep Shopify, Etsy, and Faire storefronts running smoothly. We are seeking an autonomous, results-driven candidate who takes genuine ownership of their workstream rather than just clearing daily tasks.

Schedule:

  • Part Time 20 hours per week - flexible within business hours

Responsibilities

  • Build, launch, and manage paid campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads — from creative brief through landing page
  • Create ad and social content ready to publish (images, short video/reels, copy)
  • Monitor spend, CTR, CPA, and ROAS weekly, and recommend and implement changes to improve ad spend ROI
  • Plan and send email marketing campaigns — promotions, product launches, abandoned cart, newsletters
  • Manage our Shopify, Etsy, and Faire storefronts: listings, inventory accuracy, promotions, and order-related coordination
  • Report performance across channels in a simple weekly summary
  • Flag opportunities and risks proactively, rather than waiting to be asked

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing Meta Ads and/or Google Ads campaigns for a small business or ecommerce brand
  • Comfortable creating simple marketing content/creative (Canva or similar)
  • Comfortable managing email communications and campaigns in Outlook (Microsoft 365)
  • Working familiarity with Shopify; Etsy and/or Faire experience a plus
  • Strong written English and clear, proactive async communication (comfortable in Slack)
  • A track record of working independently and owning a project without close supervision
  • Reliable internet connection and a permanent remote work setup

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with a consumer product, gift, or home goods brand
  • Comfortable reading Meta Ads Manager / Google Analytics / Microsoft Clarity reports
  • Familiarity with Zoho (CRM, mail, or backoffice apps)
  • Light video editing skills for social content

Tools We Use

  • Ecommerce: Shopify, Etsy, Faire
  • Advertising: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity
  • Email: Outlook (Microsoft 365)
  • Operations/CRM: Zoho
  • Team communication: Slack
  • Design: Canva

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
