Supply Chain Planner

Job Overview

The Supply Chain Planner plays a critical role in procuring parts and managing inventory replenishment for warehouse operations and field technicians. In this position, you will manage forecasting, process purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and resolve logistical issues. You will also oversee kitting needs, provide weekly spend reports, and manage return authorizations to ensure seamless operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional with strong problem-solving skills and expertise in inventory coordination.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST with 30 min unpaid break (40 hrs per week)

Responsibilities

Forecasting (30%)

  • Setting up New parts
  • Reviewing forecast for warehouse using forecasting tool, adjust safety stock as required

Purchase Order Creation & Submission (30%)

  • Setting up new parts
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm parts availability, expedite orders, and escalate supply chain delays when needed
  • Create and submit purchase orders
  • Track and update ETA’s on shipments and backorders

Kitting – Parts Purchasing & Adjustment (10%)

  • Review Monthly/Weekly kitting needs, order parts as needed

Reporting (10%)

  • Provide weekly updates on Purchasing which includes total spend and total received
  • Other reporting as required

Freight & Transport Quotes (5%)

  • Using tools provides, provide freight/transport quotes to Customer Care team
  • Reach out to vendors to transport quotes and eta’s

Returns/RMA – New and Unused (5%)

  • Review parts in stock that are no longer required and initiate return to manufacturer

Purchase Order Cleanup (5%)

  • Investigate aged or outdated parts purchase orders to identify root causes (e.g., backorders, cancellations, system errors)
  • Take corrective action to resolve and close outdated or incorrect POs

Other Duties (5%)

  • Perform additional supply chain and administrative tasks as required to support operations

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain administration, inventory management, and procurement

  • Strong communication skills to support technicians with their parts needs.

  • Experience processing purchase orders and inventory transfers

  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and investigative skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing parts logistics
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills
  • Advanced Excel
