Job Description

You will be the communication hub for a 24/7 mortuary transport operation, coordinating directly with funeral home clients to dispatch transport services with precision and professionalism. This role demands exceptional phone presence, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with care. You'll work independently during your shift, ensuring seamless coordination between funeral homes and transport teams while maintaining accurate records and delivering the high-touch service this client base expects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch mortuary transport services to funeral homes in real-time.
• Communicate directly with funeral home staff via phone to manage service requests.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation for all transport assignments.
• Provide clear, professional communication with clients during sensitive and time-critical situations.
• Monitor and respond to incoming calls during your designated shift hours.
• Ensure seamless handoffs between shifts to maintain 24/7 service continuity.
• Handle scheduling adjustments and urgent requests with calm efficiency.
• Build rapport with funeral home clients through consistent, respectful service delivery.

Must-Have Requirements

• Excellent spoken English with clear, professional communication skills.
• Previous dispatch or coordination experience managing communication between multiple parties.
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accurate records.
• Comfortable working independently during extended shifts.
• Reliable internet connection and hardware for remote work.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including overnight hours as assigned.
