Job Overview

Our client is seeking a precise and cooperative Architectural 3D Modeler (Fabrication Support) to fill a newly created support role designed to assist their senior internal designer. This position focuses on 3D modeling and creating fabrication drawings for custom architectural metalwork elements. Because design is currently the biggest operational bottleneck, this is a critical hire for business expansion. The role involves close collaboration with the projects team through frequent feedback exchanges on custom designs.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)

Note: This is a part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models of custom architectural elements including balustrades, screens, facades, batten screens, pergolas, stairs, and window hoods.
• Produce fabrication drawings for the manufacturing team to work from.
• Incorporate feedback from the senior designer and projects team into models with precision.
• Make modifications to standard drawings based on project-specific requirements.
• Communicate proactively with the team to clarify project details and ask questions when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D modeling for architectural or fabrication projects.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately capture specifications in models.
• Professional English communication skills with a strong willingness to ask questions and seek clarification.

Nice To Have

• Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
• Previous experience modeling custom architectural metalwork or similar structural elements.
