Job Overview
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper to support their growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, processing payroll, and providing timely financial reporting. As a new business entity is being integrated into operations, additional support may be required during the onboarding and transition period. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys working independently while contributing to the overall financial health of the business.

Note: Specific hours and additional days are flexible based on candidate availability and business needs, provided Tuesday mornings are covered for payroll processing.
Responsibilities
- Accurately record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Generate, issue, and follow up on customer invoices.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies through analysis and reconciliation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Build and maintain financial dashboards and provide weekly management reports.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting as required.
- Support the accounting team during audits and financial reviews.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with bookkeeping requirements associated with newly acquired or established business entities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar accounting support role.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms.
- Experience processing payroll accurately and within strict deadlines.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping procedures.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, including transaction processing, reconciliations, payroll management, and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a growing business environment.
Nice-to-have
- Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping certification/qualification.
- Experience supporting small to medium-sized businesses or multi-entity businesses.
