Payroll and Tax Bookkeeper
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to handle day-to-day financial operations for a consulting firm. This is a part-time position with potential to grow into full-time as the business expands. The ideal candidate will work independently while being overseen by the firm's partners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Client Overview:
Our client is a growing consulting firm operating in the United States. They are expanding their service offerings and require dedicated support for their bookkeeping operations.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule during client’s business hours starting at 6:00 pm (US Central Time, 20 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis
- Handle payroll processing and tax calculations
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations using QuickBooks
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently within the allocated hours
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks software
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with consulting firms or professional services companies
- Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance requirements
