Bookkeeping Specialist (Xero)

Overview

Step into a high-impact role as the financial backbone of an expanding international company’s UK division, working directly alongside the Managing Director. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead financial operations and strategic restructuring within a trusted, collaborative environment that values your professional growth.

Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week) Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; regular check-in meetings twice weekly initially
  • Client Timezone: Greenwich Mean Time (UK)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts using Xero accounting system
  • Process and input invoices into Xero with precision and timeliness
  • Send client invoices and manage billing processes through Xero
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Generate and distribute financial reports to management team
  • Process payroll for the UK division ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Handle expense management and processing with attention to detail
  • Participate in regular strategy meetings with the Managing Director
  • Support seamless transition during brief handover period with outgoing consultant

Requirements:

  • Specialist experience in bookkeeping (not entry-level)
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting system
  • Excellent English communication skills for professional interactions
  • Availability to work during UK business hours (Greenwich Mean Time)
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Bonus if you have experience with international business operations
