Job Overview
This is a part-time bookkeeping role supporting two separate business entities with straightforward financial operations. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain organized financial records, and ensure accurate reconciliation across both entities. The bookkeeper will work directly with the client team and have full access to necessary accounting software and systems.

Client Overview
The client operates multiple business entities including an enterprise division focused on corporate sponsorships and event management, and a studio division working on co-developing and testing new business ideas. Both entities were recently established and require professional bookkeeping support to manage financial transactions, vendor payments, and prepare for tax filing. 

Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri, 20 hours per week (Flexible Schedule) | Client Timezone: United States

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile accounts across multiple business entities on a regular basis.
  • Record all financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and profit and loss statements.
  • Create and send invoices to corporate sponsors and clients based on agreements provided.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
  • Manage vendor payments and maintain accurate records of all outgoing transactions.
  • Process and record sponsorship revenue and event-related expenses.
  • Prepare financial records and documentation for tax preparation purposes.
  • Maintain organized books using QuickBooks or other accounting software as directed by the client.

Must-have Requirements

  • QuickBooks certification and demonstrated proficiency with the platform.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping with international clients, particularly in the United States, Canada, or Europe.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination with sponsors, vendors, and internal team members.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience managing books for multiple business entities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with event-based businesses and sponsorship revenue models.
  • Background working with LLCs and C-corporations.
  • Experience with convertible notes and fund accounting structures.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
