Job Summary:
The QA Testing Engineer is responsible for developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases, as well as executing both manual and automated tests.

Goal/Objective of the Position:
To help ensure the delivery of cutting-edge retail software applications that improve and enhance business efficiency and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute test plans and detailed test scripts, including setting up test environments and preparing appropriate test data.
- Develop test cases and perform manual testing.
- Update existing test plans and test cases to align with new requirements.
- Define quality processes and testing standards, including test strategy, planning, documentation, analysis, and issue reporting.
- Identify, review, and execute manual and automated tests across multiple software builds within scheduled releases.
- Collaborate with developers and communicate any defects or issues identified during system testing.
- Document and review defects/issues in the designated tracking system.
Qualifications:
- 2- or 4-year degree in a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge in one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning, and configuring relevant technologies.
- Basic understanding of retail environments and operations.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases, Unix operating systems, and web applications preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Root cause analysis skills.
