Xero Bookkeeper

Job Overview

This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, enjoys working with integrated accounting and inventory management systems, and takes full ownership of financial processes from end to end. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner. The ideal candidate works independently, communicates effectively when issues arise, and maintains a consistently high standard of accuracy across accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Client Overview

A 50+ year global toy and collectibles company that produces billions of toys annually for world-renowned brands, including major fast-food chains, entertainment studios, and global retailers. The company operates 12–18 months ahead on highly confidential projects that shape international toy campaigns and strategic brand partnerships. This is a high-performance, pitch-driven environment where presentation craftsmanship directly influences multi-million-dollar contracts.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM AEST | Flexible hours, with availability during Sydney business hours (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Perform daily reconciliation of bills and customer invoices in Xero
Manage and reconcile financial data between MRP Easy (inventory system) and Xero
Prepare and submit regular accounts payable reports for management approval
Reconcile accounts receivable transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
Maintain accurate financial records across integrated accounting and inventory systems
Respond to financial queries and communicate with the team during Sydney business hours as needed

Requirements

3–5 years of bookkeeping experience
Proficiency in Xero accounting software
Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation

Nice-to-Have Requirements

Experience with MRP Easy or similar inventory and order processing systems
Background working with distributors or manufacturers in technical industries
Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and practices

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
