Job Overview
This is an exceptional opportunity for a CPA-designated bookkeeper to apply their expertise in a fast-paced construction and real estate development environment where accuracy and compliance are paramount. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of active construction projects and real estate ventures, working with sophisticated accounting systems and ensuring strict adherence to GAAP principles. Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks software for multiple construction and development projects
- Implement and follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial processes and reporting
- Handle specialized accounting tasks specific to general contracting operations and real estate development ventures
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements for construction industry operations
- Manage detailed financial records and transaction tracking for active construction projects and real estate development initiatives
- Provide accurate financial reporting and analysis to support project management and business decision-making
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure proper cost allocation and budget tracking
Requirements
- CPA designation (mandatory requirement)
- QuickBooks certification (mandatory requirement)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional qualification
- Demonstrated expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) compliance and implementation
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks software and other accounting platforms
- Experience with construction or real estate industry accounting practices preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for addressing financial discrepancies
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
