Our client is looking for an Photo Retoucher to edit and enhance professional product and lifestyle photography captured by an in-house studio team. In this hands-on production role, the successful candidate will focus on delivering polished, accurate, and consistent photography for e-commerce and marketing channels using provided original photography, editing guidelines, visual references, brand standards, and production requirements. This position requires strong Adobe Photoshop skills, experience retouching fashion or e-commerce photography, an exceptional eye for color accuracy and garment details, and the ability to leverage AI-assisted photo-editing tools to improve efficiency while maintaining overall quality.

Schedule Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Central Time

Responsibilities Photo Editing and Retouching

• Retouch professional studio photography, including on-model, flat-lay, product detail, and lifestyle imagery.
• Perform color correction, exposure adjustments, white balance correction, and lighting refinements.
• Retouch skin naturally while preserving realistic texture and appearance.
• Remove lint, dust, wrinkles, blemishes, stray hairs, and other unwanted distractions.
• Refine backgrounds, shadows, and other visual elements to achieve a polished, consistent appearance.
• Perform precise selections, masking, and image cleanup as needed.
• Maintain natural-looking results without excessive smoothing or manipulation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in commercial photo retouching, e-commerce image editing, fashion photography post-production, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including masking, adjustment layers, color correction, retouching, and image compositing.
• Demonstrated experience retouching fashion, apparel, product, or on-model photography.
• Strong understanding of color accuracy, lighting, exposure, skin tones, and image consistency.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle image imperfections.
• Ability to maintain consistent editing quality across large batches of images.
• Experience preparing and exporting digital imagery for web and e-commerce use.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Strong written English communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

• Experience retouching imagery for fashion, apparel, or e-commerce brands.
• Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, or comparable photography editing software.
• Experience with AI-assisted image-editing and retouching tools.
• Experience maintaining consistent editing standards across multiple photoshoots and collections.
• Knowledge of color management and color consistency across digital platforms.
• Experience working within high-volume commercial photography production workflows.

Portfolio Requirements

• Provide a portfolio of professionally retouched photography, preferably featuring apparel, fashion, product, or e-commerce imagery.
• Include before-and-after examples where possible to demonstrate retouching ability, color correction, attention to detail, and editing quality.
• Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid retouching assessment using original studio photography and provided editing guidelines.

• Accuracy of garment colors, details, and overall product representation.
• Consistency of retouching across images, styles, and collections.
• Percentage of images approved without significant revisions.
• Production efficiency and ability to meet established deadlines.
• Quality of exported files and adherence to technical specifications.
