Shopify Store Manager (CRO)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a results-focused, multi-disciplinary Shopify Store Manager (CRO) to take full ownership of storefront enhancement, funnel architecture, and performance marketing.

In this role, you will audit, redesign, and optimize an early-stage Shopify store alongside supporting WordPress web pages to maximize customer conversion rates. You will design end-to-end sales funnels, set up automated abandoned cart recoveries, and deploy on-page SEO best practices. The ideal candidate balances technical e-commerce execution with data-driven growth strategies to launch, test, and scale seasonal product mixes and bottle configurations.

Client Overview

Our client is an expanding artisanal beverage producer based in Sacramento, California, crafting premium, high-quality lemonade products. Having built strong market traction and brand loyalty through large-scale event activations and direct community sales, the business is scaling its direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce presence. To bridge the gap between their thriving offline footprint and their digital storefront, they are onboarding a remote E-Commerce Specialist to turn their online platform into an optimized, high-converting revenue channel.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible hours PST Business Hours (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

Storefront Redesign, UI/UX & Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

  • Revamp the current Shopify storefront to deliver a seamless, intuitive, and elevated user experience from landing page through to checkout.
  • Optimize supporting WordPress pages and integrate smooth navigation paths between digital assets and the primary Shopify purchasing funnel.
  • Implement CRO best practices across product listings, collection pages, and checkout flows to reduce friction and eliminate cart drop-offs.
  • Conduct continuous A/B testing on product presentation, bundles, package sizes, and layout hooks to improve average order value (AOV) and conversion velocity.

Funnel Architecture & Retention Automations

  • Design and execute end-to-end customer sales funnels tailored to consumer packaged goods (CPG) buyer journeys.
  • Set up, monitor, and optimize abandoned checkout recovery mechanisms, post-purchase sequences, and tracking workflows.
  • Audit and recommend app stack integrations to automate customer marketing flows, reviews, and merchandising tasks without bloating site performance.

Traffic Acquisition & Analytics

  • Execute on-page and technical SEO strategies to increase organic discovery and category rankings.
  • Establish clear tracking analytics to capture shopper behavior, delivery metrics, and campaign KPIs.
  • Deliver weekly performance reports detailing traffic channels, conversion trends, ad efficiency, and actionable growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • E-Commerce Track Record: 3+ years of professional experience managing, building, and optimizing Shopify stores, with demonstrable conversion rate results.
  • Portfolio of Digital Builds: A portfolio or verifiable case studies demonstrating end-to-end e-commerce website improvements from initial concept to live launch.
  • Funnel & CRO Competence: Strong background in customer journey mapping, landing page design, and conversion optimization strategies.
  • WordPress Management: Hands-on experience editing, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress sites.
  • Paid Advertising Fluency: Practical experience setting up and optimizing ad campaigns on Meta and Google Ads with a track record of driving positive ROI.
  • SEO Foundations: Practical execution of on-page optimization, site architecture refinement, keyword mapping, and meta configuration.
  • Self-Directed Delivery: Ability to drive deliverables independently in a project-focused engagement with minimal daily oversight.

Qualifications

  • Direct background in the food and beverage (F&B) sector or fast-moving consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Experience assisting early-stage or startup brands in transitioning from in-person retail/events to online D2C models.
  • Proficiency in advanced split-testing for multi-variant product lines and specialized bundle offers.

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
