Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Electrical Revit Modeler and AutoCAD Drafter to turn engineers' electrical designs into precise 3D Revit models and 2D AutoCAD documentation for commercial building projects. In this role, you will work independently as a trusted part of a multidisciplinary design team, keeping drawings accurate and consistent across building services while reporting daily to the client and collaborating through Teams. Your work will directly shape how projects are coordinated and delivered, with room to take on additional responsibilities as the workload expands.

Client Overview

Our client is an engineering consultancy that delivers building services design across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire disciplines for the construction industry. Their multidisciplinary team of engineers, modelers, and drafters supports commercial building projects such as apartments and hotels. They work primarily across Western Australia and Queensland, and they are known for accurate, well-coordinated documentation.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, Flexible during Perth, WA business hours (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D Revit models of electrical services for commercial building projects such as apartments and hotels.
• Prepare 2D AutoCAD electrical drafting documentation based on engineering designs.
• Translate electrical design intent into accurate, coordinated drawings and models.
• Support hydraulic and mechanical Revit modeling as secondary priorities.
• Review drawings to keep documentation accurate and consistent across building services.
• Share progress and files with the design team remotely through Microsoft Teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D Revit and 2D AutoCAD drafting, ideally at least two years.

• A portfolio showcasing relevant 3D Revit and 2D AutoCAD drafting work.

• Solid experience in or understanding of the electrical field to interpret design requirements accurately.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy across all drafting work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and remote collaboration skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous CAD and Revit drafting work.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Australian building and drafting standards is preferred.
• Active Autodesk software subscription is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic or mechanical Revit modeling is a bonus.
• Prior experience working on commercial building projects such as apartments or hotels.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with engineers and design teams remotely.
