Job Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-driven Hydraulic BIM Modeler (Revit & AutoCAD) to translate hydraulic engineering designs into accurate 3D BIM models and 2D documentation sets for active commercial building projects.

Working as an integral extension of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will take ownership of hydraulic services drafting—including sanitary plumbing, trade waste, stormwater drainage, and domestic water supply systems. You will collaborate daily with design engineers via Microsoft Teams, ensuring all models and drawings maintain strict geometric accuracy, clash-free coordination, and consistency across related building services.

Monday - Friday, flexible hours during AWST business hours (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D Revit models of hydraulic services (sanitary plumbing, drainage, hot/cold water, gas, and stormwater) for commercial developments including hotels and apartment complexes
• Prepare, detail, and update 2D AutoCAD drafting packages based directly on engineering calculations and markups
• Accurately translate hydraulic design intent into coordinated schematic layouts, riser diagrams, and construction-ready drawing sheets
• Support electrical and mechanical Revit modeling tasks as secondary priorities when project allocations require cross-discipline support
• Review and audit drawing sheets to verify drafting integrity, annotation clarity, and consistency across all MEP disciplines
• Identify and resolve service clashes between hydraulic pipework, structural members, and architectural elements within the BIM environment
• Maintain daily communication with lead engineers via Microsoft Teams, reporting progress and coordinating model handoffs
• Manage and organize project drafting files, families, and templates in line with established company drawing standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on drafting and modeling experience utilizing Autodesk Revit and 2D AutoCAD within building services or engineering design
• Sound working knowledge of hydraulic building services (waste, drainage, water supply, gas systems) to understand, interpret, and model engineering intent correctly
• Access to an independent Autodesk software subscription (Revit/AutoCAD) and a high-performance computer capable of handling complex 3D BIM models
• Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to deliver accurate, clash-free documentation with minimal supervision
