Job Description:
You will serve as a strategic partner to the business owner, taking full ownership of the e-commerce website and digital sales operations. This is not a task-executor role—you will be expected to bring strategic insight, proactive ideas, and deep e-commerce expertise to help grow this brand from the ground up. You will have the autonomy to redesign, optimize, and implement strategies that drive traffic, conversions, and long-term growth. If you thrive in early-stage environments where your input directly shapes business direction, this role offers genuine partnership potential with commission-based incentives on top of base pay.
Client Overview:
Our client is a growing online apparel brand specializing in print-on-demand products including t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatwear. They are focused on building autonomous supply chain operations and expanding their market presence in the Canadian fashion space. - Collaborate with the founder on business model pivots including potential migration from Shopify to alternative platforms
- Stay current on e-commerce trends, customer psychology in fashion, and digital marketing best practices
- Take autonomous ownership of daily website operations and troubleshooting
Must-Have Requirements:
- Proven experience managing Shopify stores from setup through optimization
- Deep understanding of e-commerce business models, sales strategies, and conversion optimization
- Experience working with fashion brands, streetwear, or apparel companies
- Strong web design and development skills with ability to redesign and rebuild site elements
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take strategic initiative
- Proficiency with AI tools for content and visual asset creation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business goals into actionable plans
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Experience with print-on-demand fulfillment models
- Familiarity with the Canadian e-commerce market and consumer behavior
- Knowledge of alternative e-commerce platforms beyond Shopify
