Job Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced and results-driven Meta Ads & E-commerce Email Marketing Specialist (Shopify & Klaviyo) to take ownership of its Meta advertising campaigns and email marketing initiatives while providing essential customer support. This role focuses on scaling the company’s e-commerce business through strategic Meta Ads management, lifecycle email marketing campaigns, creative testing, data-driven decision-making, and administrative customer communications.

Monday - Friday, flexible schedule within client business hours (Auckland time), 20 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, execute, and optimise Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve campaign performance, conversions, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Monitor key metrics including CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, conversion rates, and ROAS.
- Conduct structured A/B and creative testing to identify high-performing advertisements, messaging, and audience segments.
- Analyse campaign performance across timeframes to identify trends, opportunities, and issues.
- Develop full-funnel advertising strategies based on current Meta best practices.
- Identify creative fatigue and implement strategies to maintain audience engagement.
- Provide recommendations on ad creatives, copy, structures, audience targeting, and budget allocation.
- Proactively identify opportunities to scale profitable campaigns efficiently.
- Stay updated with Meta’s latest features, algorithm changes, and industry developments.
- Design, schedule, and execute regular promotional, news, and lifecycle email campaigns.
- Build, optimise, and maintain automated email flows (e.g., Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase, Re-engagement/Win-back).
- Segment subscriber lists based on customer behavior, purchase history, and engagement levels.
- Monitor key email metrics (open rates, click-through rates, deliverability, unsubscribe rates, revenue per email).
- Ensure list health, segmentation, hygiene, and compliance with privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
- Monitor and respond to incoming customer emails through Gmail, managing enquiries and order-related concerns.
- Prioritise and manage accumulated emails, particularly after weekends, ensuring timely responses.
- Escalate sensitive, financial, technical, or complex matters to appropriate team members.
- Maintain professional, helpful, and customer-focused communication.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, maintaining records, and coordinating internally to address customer and marketing matters.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Meta Ads management, preferably within e-commerce.
- Proven experience planning and running e-commerce email marketing campaigns and automated flows (e.g., Klaviyo or similar platforms).
- Proven experience managing and scaling Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.
- Experience working with established e-commerce brands with substantial monthly ad budgets and revenue.
- Demonstrated understanding of campaign structures, conversion optimisation, creative testing, audience segmentation, and retargeting.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate performance data into actionable business decisions.
- Experience identifying creative fatigue and implementing strategies to improve performance.
- Familiarity with Shopify and e-commerce performance metrics.
- Experience handling customer enquiries and professional email correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting e-commerce businesses generating significant monthly revenue (AUD 500K–seven-figure range).
- Advanced experience with Klaviyo or major e-commerce ESPs.
- Experience managing substantial Meta advertising budgets.
- Experience working with direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands.
- Familiarity with Shopify Analytics and marketing analytics tools.
- Experience developing scalable paid social and email marketing strategies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Improvement in Meta campaign ROAS, overall advertising efficiency, and revenue growth driven by email marketing campaigns and automated flows.
- Growth in total conversions and revenue attributable to paid social and email channels.
- Effectiveness of creative testing, campaign optimisation, and prompt resolution of performance issues.
- Quality, practicality, and consistency of strategic recommendations and campaign reporting.
- Timeliness, quality, and professionalism of customer email responses and correspondence handling.
