Job Overview
Our client is looking for a hands-on Odoo Developer to support their ERP transition by developing custom solutions, automations, and workflows within Odoo. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Odoo development, Odoo.sh, and core business modules, and can translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. This role combines Odoo development and implementation, including customization, module development, workflow automation, ERP transition support, and ongoing process improvements.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Ridgefield, WA Time, with a 1-hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Odoo modules using Python, Odoo ORM, and XML views, including custom code, business logic, workflows, and automations.
- Work with Odoo 17 or later and maintain compatibility with current Odoo standards.
- Manage Odoo.sh development workflows, including branches, builds, staging environments, and module upgrades.
- Configure and maintain security groups, access rights, and record rules, while supporting Inventory, Purchase, Sales, and Accounting modules.
- Support the Odoo ERP transition and implementation, including data migration from existing ERP systems.
- Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues using Git, pull requests, and code reviews, while documenting technical changes and customizations.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop practical solutions, and support ongoing ERP process optimization and automation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on Odoo development experience, including Odoo 17 or later.
- Strong Python skills with solid knowledge of Odoo ORM, XML views, security groups, access rights, and record rules.
- Hands-on experience with Odoo.sh, including branches, builds, staging environments, and module upgrades.
- Working knowledge of Odoo Inventory, Purchase, Sales, and Accounting modules.
- Comfortable with Git, pull requests, code reviews, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently, manage development tasks effectively, and communicate well in written English.
- Willingness to work with at least 3–4 hours of overlap with US Pacific Time.
Nice to Have
- Experience implementing Odoo for wholesale or distribution businesses.
- Experience with Odoo Barcode and warehouse workflows.
- Knowledge of landed costs and three-way matching.
- Experience migrating data from another ERP system to Odoo.
- Experience working with Odoo’s JSON-2 external API.
- Experience developing integrations between Odoo and third-party systems.
- Experience with ERP implementation and business process optimization.
