Emergency Dispatch & Sales Coordinator (Roadside & Battery Services)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, professional, and customer-focused Emergency Dispatch & Sales Coordinator (Roadside & Battery Services) to join our team. This role is responsible for communicating with customers in a fast-paced environment, primarily attempting to sell automotive batteries and related services. The successful candidate will engage customers through outbound and follow-up calls, identify opportunities to upsell additional services, and coordinate with in-house field staff to facilitate battery installation and completion of all services.

The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who can handle a high volume of calls, build rapport quickly, and maintain a sales-focused approach while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple customer requests and field service activities efficiently.

Schedule

  •  Monday - Wednesday (7:00 AM - 7:00PM EST) Thursday, Friday and Sunday (Off days); Saturday (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST), 40 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Outbound Calling and Battery Sales

  • Make outbound calls to prospective customers and existing leads to promote and sell automotive batteries.
  • Engage customers in a fast-paced calling environment while maintaining a professional and friendly telephone manner.
  • Identify customer needs by asking relevant questions about their vehicle, battery concerns, and service requirements.
  • Explain the benefits, features, and availability of suitable battery products.
  • Attempt to close battery sales during the initial call or through appropriate follow-up.
  • Handle customer objections and questions professionally to support successful sales conversions.
  • Follow up with customers who have expressed interest but have not yet completed a purchase.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales attempts, outcomes, and customer follow-up requirements.

2. Upselling and Cross-Selling of Services

  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional locksmith, roadside assistance, or battery-related services.
  • Recommend relevant services based on the customer's needs and vehicle situation.
  • Explain the benefits of available service options and encourage customers to consider additional assistance where appropriate.
  • Promote battery installation and other applicable service offerings to increase completed sales.
  • Ensure that all service recommendations are accurate and aligned with company policies.
  • Work toward achieving assigned sales, upselling, and customer conversion targets.

3. Dispatch and coordination with Field Staff and Battery Installation

  • Communicate with in-house field staff and service personnel to coordinate battery installation and other service requests.

  • Assist in arranging the setup and installation of batteries for customers who have purchased or require battery-related services.
  • Provide field staff with relevant customer information, service details, and appointment requirements.
  • Confirm customer availability and coordinate suitable service times with the field team.
  • Follow up with field staff regarding pending installations, service completion, or customer updates.
  • Track the location and status of mobile units using GPS or tracking software. Escalate delays, scheduling conflicts, or service issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Answer incoming calls, log details, and prioritize requests based on urgency Ensure that customer requests are communicated accurately to the field team to support efficient service delivery.
  • Assign routes, schedules, and loads to field staff and resolve unexpected delays, breakdowns, or routing disruptions quickly.

4. Customer Service and Appointment Follow-Up

  • Provide a positive first impression of the company through every customer interaction.
  • Answer customer questions regarding battery products, installation, and available services.
  • Follow up on pending inquiries, missed calls, and incomplete sales opportunities.
  • Assist with scheduling, confirming, or rescheduling battery installation appointments.
  • Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with customers throughout the service process.
  • Conduct follow-up customer satisfaction phone calls and inform satisfied customers of survey opportunities.

5. Administrative and CRM Support
- Accurately document customer information, call outcomes, sales attempts, and service requests.
- Update CRM records and lead statuses in a timely manner.
- Maintain a structured follow-up list to ensure no sales opportunity or customer request is missed.
- Prepare daily activity summaries, including call volume, sales attempts, conversions, and pending follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure accurate customer records and service updates.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with company policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, customer service, appointment setting, or a similar role.
- Experience in battery sales, automotive services, roadside assistance, or related industries is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken English with clear, and easily understandable pronunciation suitable for US-based customers.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally in a fast-paced, high-volume calling environment.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to identify customer needs, handle objections, and close sales.
- Strong upselling and cross-selling skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several customer and field service requests simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and communication tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting performance expectations.
- Previous experience working with US-based customers is preferred.

Technical Requirements
- Windows operating system: The client's calling application and systems are compatible with Windows only. Candidates must have access to a Windows computer suitable for running the required applications.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Suitable work-from-home environment with a quiet space for customer calls.
- Functional headset with clear audio and microphone.
 -Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and follow system setup instructions.
- Willingness to use the client's designated calling application, CRM, and communication systems.

Communication Requirement

  • Candidates must have clear, professional, and easily understandable English pronunciation. The role involves frequent communication with US-based customers and field staff, making effective verbal communication essential.
  • Coordinate efficiently with field staff to support battery installation and service completion.
  • Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent work quality.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing customer and service demands.
