Our client is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented IT Microsoft Support Specialist to deliver first-line technical support and manage user administration across the organization's Microsoft ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage help desk tickets, assist with account onboarding/offboarding, maintain Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive), and ensure all staff adhere to essential cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate combines 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 troubleshooting experience with a clear, supportive communication style for non-technical users.
Client Overview
Our client is a healthcare and care services organization headquartered in Seattle, Washington (98107). Dedicated to maintaining operational excellence and strict data privacy, they provide vital community support services. To ensure their remote and on-site personnel remain connected, secure, and fully equipped, they are onboarding a remote IT Specialist to administer their core Microsoft infrastructure and provide daily help desk support.

Monday - Friday, Flexible during Seattle, WA Business Hours (PST) (20 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support requests involving Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office apps).
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, desktop hardware, peripheral devices, printers, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Receive, document, prioritize, and resolve help desk tickets, escalating complex issues to external IT vendors or management when necessary.
- Assist users with password resets, multi-factor authentication (MFA) setups, and account access issues.
- Lead technical onboarding and offboarding workflows, provisioning accounts, software licenses, and access permissions based on role requirements.
- Enforce account security policies, monitor for phishing/unauthorized access risks, and assist staff with data security compliance.
- Maintain hardware asset inventories, coordinate warranty/repair requests, and manage software update schedules.
- Develop simple user documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quick "how-to" guides for recurring technical queries.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in IT help desk or technical support roles with direct experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365 application suites, account permission hierarchies, and basic cybersecurity controls.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills with a proven ability to translate complex IT concepts into simple instructions for non-technical users.
- Associate degree or technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA A+) preferred.
