Technical SEO Specialist

Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical SEO Specialist to join an established California-based digital marketing agency with over 20 years of experience serving enterprise-level accounts. In this hands-on role, you will work directly alongside senior SEO strategists and account managers to execute technical SEO initiatives and deliver measurable search performance across diverse client portfolios. You will have full autonomy to implement project plans using various crawling and monitoring technologies, all while supported by a team that values efficiency and technical excellence.

Schedule:

  • Part-time ( 20 hours per week), flexible during client business hours. US Central Time Zone

Responsibilities

  • Execute SEO project plans and strategies developed by senior team members across multiple client accounts
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and implement recommendations using various crawling tools and platforms
  • Monitor search performance across different monitoring systems and report on key metrics
  • Work across multiple SEO technologies and platforms as dictated by client needs and project requirements
  • Collaborate with senior account managers to ensure timely delivery of SEO initiatives
  • Implement on-page and technical optimizations based on established best practices
  • Support the execution of link building and content optimization strategies
  • Adapt quickly to different client environments, industries, and technical platforms

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience
  • Proficiency working across multiple SEO crawling tools and monitoring platforms
  • Strong technical SEO skills with the ability to execute strategies independently
  • Experience working in an agency environment or managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Ability to implement SEO project plans without extensive hand-holding
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with senior team members
  • Comfortable adapting to various technologies and platforms based on client needs

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Bonus if you have experience working with enterprise-level clients
  • It helps if you have worked with remote or distributed marketing teams previously
  • Bonus if you have experience training or mentoring junior SEO staff
