Bilingual Medical Receptionist

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Medical Receptionist fluent in Spanish and English to act as the first point of contact for patients and manage calls and inquiries with empathy. This role offers a blend of customer service, healthcare administration, and technological proficiency. Utilizing healthcare software, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations while working remotely as an integrated member of the healthcare team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time; Full-time, 40 work hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by professionally managing incoming calls and patient inquiries.
  • Efficiently schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal clinic flow.
  • Guide new patients through the enrollment process, collecting and documenting all necessary information.
  • Accurately update and maintain electronic health records, ensuring all patient information is current and complete.
  • Actively participate in regular team meetings, contributing ideas for process improvement.
  • Handle various administrative tasks to support the healthcare team and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Consistently meet and exceed daily performance goals set by the organization.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and data handling.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a receptionist or administrative role.
  • Strong familiarity with medical terminology and a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare-specific software and electronic health record systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a patient-centric approach.
  • Ability to work full-time during Pacific Time Zone hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and software systems as required by the organization.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining a high level of professionalism and team integration.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
