Resume Writer & Admin Assistant

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Resume Writer & Admin Assistant who will play a key role in delivering high-quality career services while supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. You'll work closely with job seekers to understand their career goals, develop professional application documents, and provide guidance that improves their chances of securing interviews. In addition, you'll provide administrative support to ensure an efficient and seamless client experience from initial enquiry through to project completion.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, has exceptional writing skills, thrives in a fast-paced client-focused environment, and has a strong understanding of recruitment and the Australian job market.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Perth, AU Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Training Note: The successful candidate will complete an initial training period with a temporary schedule, including occasional weekend sessions if required. Upon completion, the role will transition to the standard Monday–Friday schedule. 

Responsibilities

Resume Writing & Career Services

  • Write and tailor ATS-compliant resumes, cover letters, and selection criteria responses for a wide range of industries and career levels.
  • Optimise LinkedIn and SEEK profiles to improve online visibility and strengthen professional branding.
  • Research target industries, occupations, and job advertisements to customise application documents for specific roles.
  • Edit and proofread all documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, professionalism, and exceptional grammar.
  • Assist clients with interview preparation through coaching sessions, mock interviews, and practical interview techniques.
  • Provide professional career guidance and recommendations throughout the job search process.
  • Manage document revisions based on client feedback while maintaining quality and agreed turnaround times.
  • Deliver high-quality work within standard and express turnaround timeframes.

Administrative Support

  • Manage client enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate client records, databases, and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Prepare client files, quotations, invoices, and supporting documentation as required.
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure projects progress smoothly from consultation through to delivery.
  • Maintain document templates, internal resources, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement by documenting processes and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless client experience and timely project completion.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in resume writing, recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, career coaching, or employment services.
  • Strong understanding of Australian recruitment practices, employment trends, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with exceptional grammar, proofreading, editing, and client consultation abilities.
  • High attention to detail, fast and accurate typing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and build client relationships.
  • Preferred: Experience optimizing LinkedIn and SEEK profiles, and providing interview or career coaching.
  • Preferred: Experience with social media management, community engagement, and Canva or other basic graphic design tools.
