Overview
Our client is looking for a Mandarin Bilingual Customer Support & Administrative Assistant to serve as the vital bridge between the agency and its Mandarin-speaking clients, using their language skills to provide exceptional service while supporting critical business operations. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a real difference in the clients’ insurance experience by communicating in their preferred language. In this role, you will work directly with clients, manage important documentation, and be part of a team that values cultural understanding and personalized service.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (US Pacific Time, 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day)
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support to clients in both English and Mandarin Chinese via phone, email, and other channels
- Manage customer files, documentation, and maintain accurate records
- Handle email correspondence and coordinate calendar scheduling
- Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to appropriate team members
- Identify client language preferences and adapt communication accordingly
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and file management
- Support daily operations and assist with special projects as needed
- Maintain professional communication standards in both languages
Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, writing)
- Strong customer service orientation and professional phone manner
- Comfortable working with computer systems and cloud-based platforms
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Bonus if you have insurance industry experience
- It helps if you’re familiar with CRM systems and customer databases
