Social Media & Community Support Assistant

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and creative Social Media & Community Support Assistant to help manage their online presence and customer communications. This role will focus on scheduling and publishing social media content, responding to customer inquiries, managing online reviews, and ensuring timely engagement across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision to help maintain a consistent social media presence while providing excellent customer communication and support.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Flexible schedule, needs to be available either Monday or Wednesday daytime for meeting (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, publish, and manage content calendars across active social media channels.
  • Create visually appealing, polished social media posts using provided photos, images, and basic content descriptions.
  • Respond to comments, messages, Google reviews, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answer common customer questions using company resources, FAQs, and established guidebooks.
  • Monitor online engagement and social media activity to identify opportunities for increased brand presence.
  • Escalate complex inquiries or operational issues to management when necessary to preserve brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with the business owner during weekly check-ins to review priorities and upcoming content.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Social Media Management, Community Management, Customer Service, or a related role.
  • Professional written English communication skills alongside a professional, customer-focused communication style.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and priority-management abilities.
  • Experience using Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, Meta Business Suite, and scheduling tools.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools to align with brand guidelines.
