Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Representative to drive outbound lead generation and appointment setting. Transitioning from a traditional "sales assistant" model, this role requires a strategic communicator who excels at building authentic rapport, uncovering business pain points, and shifting conversations seamlessly into valuable sales opportunities.The primary objective is to book high-quality, face-to-face merchant service analysis appointments for our Vice President within targeted local territories.
Responsibilities
- Targeted Outbound Prospecting: Execute outbound call and text campaigns targeting general retail businesses and funeral homes within specific local regions.
- Strategic Appointment Setting: Secure high-quality face-to-face appointments for the VP to conduct comprehensive merchant service analyses.
- Value-Based Communication: Move beyond script-reading to ask open-ended questions, actively listen, identify merchant pain points, and clearly articulate local company benefits (e.g., cost savings and localized support).
- CRM & Tool Management: Utilize advanced communication tools to manage local outreach numbers, track communication touchpoints, and log activity accurately.
- Performance Metrics: Maintain a high level of engagement, prioritizing quality talk time and relationship building over raw dial volume to ensure consistent appointment conversion rates.
Requirements
- Proven B2B Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in B2B nurturing, outbound lead generation, or merchant services.
- Advanced Conversational Skills: Exceptional rapport-building capabilities with the ability to navigate gatekeepers and engage business owners naturally. MUST BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN A LIVE AND RECORDED SALES ROLE-PLAY.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to uncover client pain points using consultative, open-ended questioning techniques.
- Tech-Savviness: Experience using CRM platforms and cloud-based outbound dialing/texting software (experience with JustCall is a plus).
- Reliable Infrastructure: Must have a stable, high-speed internet connection and a professional headset to support seamless outbound calling with crisp audio quality.
