Social Media Community Manager

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a sensitive and strategic Social Media Community Manager to develop and execute end-to-end digital strategies tailored to a niche, cause-driven audience. In this role, you will lead pre-launch brand building, manage ambassador campaigns, and create compelling content that resonates deeply with the community. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a brand's digital storefront from its early stages while working closely with the business founder.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Flexible during client business hours GMT/BST (20 work hours per week) Note: This is a part-time position with flexible hours and the potential to transition to full-time as the business scales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end social media strategies across Facebook and Instagram tailored to a niche, cause-driven audience.
  • Plan and manage brand ambassador campaigns to drive product awareness and gather authentic user feedback ahead of launch.
  • Create compelling, brand-consistent content that resonates with audiences in post-mastectomy communities.
  • Monitor platform algorithm changes and adapt content strategies to maintain engagement and reach.
  • Provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to the business owner.
  • Assist with website content improvements to enhance usability and align with overall brand messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to align social media efforts with product development milestones.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media strategy development and execution for emerging or niche brands.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook and Instagram community engagement and content best practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tasks proactively.
  • High level of sensitivity and empathy when communicating with health-related and cause-driven audiences.
  • Professional written communication skills and attention to detail.
