Job Overview
Our client is a growing Shopify-based e-commerce artisan brand looking for a creative, highly organized Social Media & Content Assistant to cultivate an engaging online presence. In this role, you will transition from simple execution to acting as a true creative partner, collaborating directly with the business owner to drive brand awareness and support upcoming launch initiatives. This position is perfect for a visual storyteller with a deep appreciation for the culinary and lifestyle space who can pair aesthetic intuition with systematic scheduling.
Schedule
- Part-Time: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility: Hours are flexible, but a morning shift alignment with Pacific Standard Time (PST) is preferred to facilitate collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Content Ideation & Strategy: Partner with the business owner to brainstorm and develop creative social media content concepts that reflect the brand's premium identity.
- Campaign & Grid Curation: Develop, curate, and schedule visually compelling imagery, copy, and video assets that match the brand’s unique aesthetic and authority.
- Calendar Management: Build and oversee comprehensive social media content calendars to maintain a structured and consistent publishing cadence across all active networks.
- Community Engagement: Monitor audience interaction, foster positive brand community engagements, and track basic performance metrics.
- Launch & Growth Support: Implement strategic content pushes to elevate brand visibility and maximize reach for e-commerce store product launches.
- Performance Analysis: Provide regular observations and constructive optimization tips to continuously improve content reach and engagement quality.
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Solid professional background managing social media accounts specifically for consumer products, e-commerce stores, or lifestyle brands.
- Culinary Affinity: A natural passion for or professional familiarity with the culinary, food, artisanal, or premium lifestyle industries is highly preferred.
- Brand Protection: A deep understanding of core branding principles with the ability to maintain strict visual and voice consistency.
- Copywriting Skills: Exceptional written English communication skills, with an eye for crafting witty, warm, and highly engaging captions.
- Autonomy & Drive: Highly self-motivated and organized, capable of keeping content schedules perfectly aligned from a remote workspace.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with social media scheduling dashboards, content planning layouts, and analytics trackers.
- Familiarity navigating the backend of Shopify or general e-commerce workflows is an advantage.
