Job Overview

Our client is a specialized back-office solutions provider dedicated to the restaurant industry. They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with restaurant-specific expertise to join their growing team. This role is a hybrid of technical bookkeeping and precise financial tracking across multiple restaurant client portfolios. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in Restaurant365 software, comfortable handling daily high-volume transactional data, and capable of executing period-end closing procedures efficiently.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Eastern Time [EST] (20 hours per week) (with strong potential to transition to full-time as the client base expands).

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Post, code, and manage accounts payable entries daily for multiple restaurant accounts.
• Sales & Cash Auditing: Reconcile daily cash transactions, POS reports, and accounts receivable/sales data to ensure accurate ledger alignment.
• Period-End Closing: Generate, update, and audit monthly schedules for period-end and month-end closing procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Maintain consistent daily communication and workflow synchronization with the internal accounting team.
• Portfolio Scaling: Adapt and provide high-quality support to additional restaurant client accounts as the company scales.

Requirements

• Industry Experience: 2 to 5 years of solid, hands-on bookkeeping experience specifically within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Software Mastery: Advanced, proven proficiency with Restaurant365 (R365) accounting software is strictly required.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for seamless daily remote team collaboration.
• Operational Agility: Ability to juggle administrative financial tasks for multiple client entities with a high degree of mathematical precision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within an external back-office service provider, CPA firm, or client-accounting services (CAS) agency.
• Familiarity with various restaurant POS systems, inventory tools, or complementary restaurant management platforms.
