Job Overview

Our client is looking for a skilled Marine Engineering Draftsperson (AutoCAD) with experience in marine, offshore, or heavy engineering environments to support a Singapore-based engineering team. This role focuses on producing detailed 2D technical drawings, maintaining engineering documentation, and coordinating revisions for marine engineering projects. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple technical drawing packages in a fast-paced remote work environment.

Client Overview

The client is a Singapore-based engineering company specializing in marine and offshore solutions. They work on technical engineering projects requiring precise drafting, documentation, and coordination with engineering teams to support high-quality project delivery across the marine industry.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM SGT, with 30-minute paid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Produce and finalize detailed 2D technical drawings for turret mooring systems and related marine engineering components using AutoCAD
  • Prepare and compile complete technical documentation packages for project delivery
  • Implement drawing revisions and updates based on engineering feedback and design modifications
  • Ensure all drawings comply with marine engineering standards, drafting conventions, and internal quality requirements
  • Coordinate closely with the Singapore-based engineering and design team to ensure alignment with project specifications
  • Organize and manage multiple drawing packages while meeting project deadlines
  • Maintain accurate file management and version control for engineering documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with remote engineering teams and communicate project updates clearly
  • Support fabrication and assembly drawing preparation as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Draftsperson in marine, offshore, or heavy engineering environments
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
  • Solid understanding of engineering drawing standards, tolerances, dimensioning, and annotation practices
  • Experience producing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings
  • High attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision across different time zones
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams remotely
