Job Overview
Our client is seeking a creative and performance-driven E-Commerce Digital Marketing Specialist to lead paid acquisition and retention strategies for a growing product-based brand. This role is a hybrid of data-driven media buying and strategic email marketing, focused heavily on the Australian consumer landscape. You will collaborate directly with the business owner to move campaigns from raw concepts to high-performing funnels, taking full ownership of the Meta Ads manager ecosystem and Klaviyo email flows to scale revenue and build long-term brand equity.

- Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM AEST [Melbourne Time] (20 HOURS PER WEEK)
Responsibilities
Paid Media Optimization (Meta Ads)
- Campaign Management: Build, deploy, and scale paid advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook & Instagram Managers), monitoring daily delivery to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Testing & Scaling: Proactively recommend and execute fresh campaign angles, audience targeting parameters, and creative concepts customized for Australian market trends.
- Algorithm Adaptation: Monitor Meta platform updates, privacy rules, and algorithm shifts to quickly pivot strategies and protect campaign stability.
Retention Marketing & Lifecycle Automation (Klaviyo)
- Flow Architecture: Design, build, and maintain high-converting automated email marketing sequences (e.g., Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase Upsell) within Klaviyo.
- Campaign Deployment: Plan, schedule, and execute regular revenue-driving broadcast campaigns that nurture customer engagement and accelerate the repeat purchase lifecycle.
Data Analysis & Content Strategy
- Performance Insights: Deep-dive into ad account dashboards and email metrics, transforming raw data into actionable insights to guide budget reallocations and creative direction.
- Creative Curation: Contribute directly to content creation pipelines by staging and scripting user-generated content (UGC) frameworks, customer review prompts, and viral-ready concepts.
- Brand Voice Governance: Maintain visual and linguistic consistency across all digital touchpoints, ensuring all copy hits a natural, authentic, and localized tone that resonates deeply with Australian buyers.
Requirements
- E-Commerce Background: Proven professional experience successfully running Meta Ads accounts for product-based or direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce stores.
- Email Platform Mastery: Direct, hands-on experience building, segmenting, and launching automated marketing paths inside Klaviyo (or close equivalent retention ecosystems).
- Localized Market IQ: A strong, native understanding of Australian consumer behavior, cultural buying nuances, and retail seasons.
- Copywriting Excellence: Superb written English communication skills characterized by a natural, human-centric tone that avoids robotic, heavily artificial styling.
- Autonomy & Drive: A self-starter profile capable of mapping out project workflows, prioritizing multi-channel deadlines, and taking strategic initiative without needing constant oversight.
Scope of Engagement
- Dedicated part-time position focused on hitting measurable KPIs, including ad spend efficiency, conversion rates, open/click-through rates (CTR), and overall campaign ROI.
- Direct partnership with the business owner, acting as an entrepreneurial marketing wing to steer the long-term vision of the brand.
