E-Commerce Inventory & Logistics Coordinator

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to support inventory planning and shipment coordination for a growing e-commerce business. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with data, tracking asset movement, and maintaining structured operations behind the scenes. The workload is light but requires absolute consistency, precision, and strong follow-through to ensure products move seamlessly from manufacturers to warehouses.

Schedule

  • Part-Time: Approximately 10 hours per week.
  • Flexibility: Highly flexible based on workload and deadlines.
  • Structure: Can be customized to fit your availability (e.g., 2 full workdays per week, shorter daily blocks, or a split schedule), making it an excellent fit for someone looking for supplemental work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Forecasting: Monitor and manage inventory projections to support active operational planning.
  • Purchase Orders: Generate and enter purchase orders into draft status within the inventory management platform.
  • Warehouse Coordination: Upload Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) documentation and coordinate incoming shipment appointments with warehouses.
  • Shipment Tracking: Track freight shipments, monitor delivery timelines, and audit required logistics paperwork.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain pristine, organized inventory logs and cloud-based operational documentation.
  • Milestone Reporting: Communicate timely updates regarding inventory movement, transit milestones, and shipment status.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential inventory shortages, stockouts, or operational transit delays.

Requirements

  • Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous approach to tracking data and documentation.
  • Industry Familiarity: Prior experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, or supply chain administrative support is preferred.
  • Data Literacy: Comfortable working with inventory management systems, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and cloud platforms.
  • Precision: Ability to manage routine data entry and logistical tracking tasks with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Autonomy: Strong follow-through with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and high responsiveness during active tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience with order processing system workflows and manual ASN uploads.
  • Prior experience coordinating directly with third-party logistics (3PL) providers or commercial freight carriers.
