Insurance Retention & Appointment Setter
Job Overview
As an Insurance Retention & Appointment Setter, you will support the daily operations of a growing insurance agency by managing client follow-ups, re-engaging lapsed policyholders, and scheduling appointments for the broker. This role is ideal for someone with a sales-oriented mindset who is comfortable speaking with clients over the phone and maintaining organized communication records. You will play a key role in improving client retention, increasing policy renewals, and helping drive overall business growth through proactive customer engagement and consistent follow-up efforts.
Schedule
- 10 AM to 2 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday; 4 hours per day
Responsibilities
- Monitor the book of business for missed payments and lapsed policies, and initiate outreach to recover accounts
- Contact lapsed clients up to three times to re-engage them and restore their policies
- Schedule in-person follow-up appointments on the broker's calendar for unresponsive clients
- Call inbound and outbound leads to qualify and set preset appointments for the broker
- Maintain accurate records of client communications and follow-up statuses
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks to streamline agency operations
Requirements
- Proven sales experience with a strong ability to engage and persuade over the phone
- Excellent English fluency with a neutral or very soft accent
- Experience working with senior or fixed-income client demographics is highly preferred
- Insurance industry experience is highly preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently
