Local SEO Specialist
Job Overview:
Own and grow the local search presence of a NYC mental health practice and its founder —
driving organic visibility, bookings, and authority across Uncover + Kristie brands entirely through organic
search.
Core Responsibilities: As our Local SEM Specialist, you'll touch every part of our organic search
presence daily which includes optimizing pages, publishing content that ranks and converts, managing
two websites/Google Business Profiles, building local authority through outreach and link acquisition, and
keeping the technical foundation clean and healthy. Everything you do feeds one goal: getting the right
people in NYC to find Uncover and Kristie Tse when they need support.
1. On Page SEO:
○ Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, and header tags across both websites for local
search intent
○ Conduct ongoing keyword research to identify high-value local and niche terms — tools
include Ahrefs, Semrush, Ubersuggest, and Google Keyword Planner
○ Build and maintain a strategic internal linking structure across both sites
○ Incorporate relevant, authoritative external links to strengthen content credibility
○ Optimize images with descriptive alt text and compressed file sizes
○ Audit and fix duplicate title tags, missing meta descriptions, and thin content pages
2. Content Creation
○ Website Pages: Publish daily blog posts and service/location pages targeting
NYC-specific keywords and the high-achiever niche. Content should build topical
authority, drive local search traffic, and include clear calls to action linking to the booking
or contact page. All writing must reflect the empathetic, trust-based tone of a mental
health practice. AI-assisted drafts are acceptable but must be thoroughly edited and
humanized before publishing.
○ Google Business Updates: Create, write, and publish one update per weekday per
brand that will be covering services, community engagement, mental health awareness,
and practice updates. Posts should reinforce local relevance, include a clear call to
action, and be accompanied by a branded graphic. Both Uncover and Kristie Tse GBPs
are active and require consistent, on-brand content.
○ Social Media: Repurpose website content into platform-appropriate posts for Instagram
and LinkedIn — captions, carousels, and short-form copy aligned with SEO goals.
Instagram and LinkedIn are currently managed by existing team members and will
transition to this role once the SEO and content foundation is established (Month 3+).
3. Off Page SEO
○ Google Business Profile (Both Brands): Manage and optimize both GBP listings daily
including posts, photos, review responses, Q&A, and weekly Insights reporting while
implementing a consistent review request system to grow review count across both
brands.
○ Local Citations: Audit and maintain consistent NAP information across all local and
niche directories including Yelp, Psychology Today, Healthgrades, and Zocdoc to fix
inconsistencies and submitting to new high-quality directories monthly.
○ Backlink Building: Acquire authoritative backlinks through guest posting, broken link
building, and partnership outreach, while managing expert source platforms including
HARO, Qwoted, Terkel, and Featured to position Kristie Tse as a go-to mental health
source — transitioning from current provider in Month 3.
○ Local Outreach/Link Building: Build relationships with NYC local businesses,
organizations, residential properties, wellness communities, and influencers to earn local
backlinks where we will target specific neighborhoods, residential buildings, schools, and
companies across key NYC zip codes. Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find opportunities
to reach out to HR directors, residential property managers, wellness studio managers,
and executive coaches, and proactively identify media, speaking, and EAP partnership
opportunities.
○ Brand Mentions + Reputation: Monitor and engage with brand mentions across
platforms for both Uncover and Kristie Tse converting unlinked mentions into backlinks
and maintaining optimized profiles on Psychology Today, Healthgrades, Zocdoc, and
other reputation platforms.
4. Technical SEO
○ Perform regular site audits using Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or Semrush to identify crawl
errors, redirect issues, and indexability problems
○ Monitor Google Search Console daily including crawl errors, manual actions, coverage
issues, Core Web Vitals
○ Optimize page speed across both sites (image compression, caching, code minimization)
using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix
○ Implement and validate schema markup (LocalBusiness, Person, FAQ, Review) using
Google's Rich Results Test
○ Ensure mobile-first indexing compliance and conduct regular mobile usability checks
○ Compile and deliver developer escalation reports that are clear, consolidated, actionable

● On Page SEO: Document what page was updated, what changed, why — filed in shared Google

● Published Content
○ Website Page: live URL or draft link added to Google Drive
○ GBP Update: Screenshot of GBP Activity for both Uncover + Kristie
○ Social Media: Link/Screenshot of any repurposed content (no expectation during ramp
up period)
● Off Page SEO
○ Backlink Building: Document on Google Sheet – Questions, PR tools (HARO,
Featured, Terkel, Qwoted, etc), Date Posted, Date Sent, Answer, Date of Acceptance,
Notification of Acceptance, Successful link, DR, Link Attribution, Success Link Date –
filed in shared Google folder (no expectation during ramp up period)
○ Local Outreach: Document on Google Sheet - Date, Brand, Contact Name,
Company/Organization, Type, Platform, What Was Pitched, Status, Response, Next
Steps - filed in shared Google folder (no expectation during ramp up period)
○ Miscellaneous Activities: Note any updates to local citations, brand mentions, etc
● Technical SEO: Document what was found, what was done, any blockers — filed in shared
Google folder
Weekly Deliverables (End of Week Log by EOD Friday)
● Weekly log to document all 5 days filled in across all task blocks — Google Sheet
● Scorecard Update: rankings, clicks, GBP calls, reviews, content published — both brands
● Friday summary email: wins, concerns, published content list, technical status, next week’s plan
● Website/GBP Insights Screenshot: week-over-week comparison for both Uncover + Kristie
Monthly Deliverables (End of Month Report by the 1st of each month)
● Full monthly report to note website rankings, traffic, GBP performance, reviews, content
published, backlinks, technical health, next month plan covering both Uncover + Kristie
● Content calendar for the upcoming month with target keywords and page types
