This role is for a part-time Social Media Content Creator & Paid Ads Manager focused on growing the VAEG brand through organic content creation, community management, paid ad strategy, and light Shopify store updates.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, flexible schedule during the client’s business hours (Australian Eastern Time, 20 hours per week)
• Approvals: Monday to Thursday, 11:30 pm AEST
• Weekly meetings on Monday for roughly 30 minutes

Responsibilities:

• Receive the monitor, set it up, and film it.
• Shoot aesthetic TikToks/Reels/UGC-style content.
• Edit the videos using programs such as DaVinci, CapCut, etc. They should be well-versed in these programs, achieving smooth cuts and attractive text overlays in line with video format trends.
• Write hooks and captions in a conversational tone. Not pushing to sell, but genuinely building a relationship with the viewer.
• Research trends both specific to the gaming community and appropriate references to global viral sensations as they occur.
• Cross-post to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, adapted to each platform, not blindly duplicated.
• Monitor comments and community engagement; respond to relevant DMS and questions - The objective is to build an actual community around VAEG rather than simply collect views. Responses should reflect the developing VAEG personality and therefore strong English communication skills are a PRIORITY.
• Experiment with different creative concepts.
• Review analytics.

Priority Skill (I need someone who can help me run paid ads. I have no knowledge of Meta Business Suite or TikTok Ads Manager, so someone who can analyse data and come up with an ad campaign is essential.):

• Basic Shopify experience is preferred for basic tasks such as
• Uploading product photos/videos
• Updating approved product information
• Making minor storefront/content updates
• Checking basic Shopify analytics
• Monitoring website activity alongside social performance
• Creating approved promotional/discount content when required
• The role will not have responsibility for sensitive financial settings, payment information, or major store administration.
• Understanding of SEO on the listed platforms.
• Weekly 20–30 minute meeting to review the performance on current posts (they should be ready with ideas for the next week based on current data, and I’ll approve or request amendments.)
