Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of eight distinct branches. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in complex environments and can bring order to multi-user financial records. You will be responsible for navigating non-standard payroll structures and ensuring that all accounts remain audit-ready. As the primary point of contact for financial activities, you will work closely with the business owner to modernize workflows and ensure absolute data integrity across the entire organization.

Responsibilities
- Multi-Entity Records: Manage and maintain accurate financial records for eight separate branches within QuickBooks Online.
- Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive monthly bank and account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Complex Payroll: Calculate and process bi-weekly payroll using a custom, non-standard pay structure.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and review detailed quarterly financial reports to provide insights on business performance.
- Data Integrity: Proactively identify and correct bookkeeping errors caused by multiple users accessing the central books.
- Documentation: Organize and maintain all necessary financial spreadsheets and supporting documentation.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the owner to identify opportunities to automate or simplify manual financial processes.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Mastery: High proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including deep experience with its payroll and reconciliation functions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify errors in complex datasets and resolve them independently.
- Adaptability: Resourceful and comfortable working with non-standard accounting and payroll procedures.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to financial data to ensure all records are consistently accurate and audit-ready.
