Social Media and Content Marketing Specialist (University Students)

The platform is focused on creating a strong brand identity and digital presence that resonates with college students across the U.S. and Europe. This role is ideal for a highly creative social media professional who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys building engaging, youth-focused content strategies from the ground up.

As a Social Media and Content Marketing Specialist (University Students), you will lead the creation and execution of the company’s social media presence, using engaging storytelling and creative campaigns to drive awareness and community engagement. You will create high-frequency content centered around the brand mascot “Kolo,” develop relatable student-focused narratives, and help establish the platform as a recognizable and trusted brand within the college market.

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time Zone

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

  • Create high-quality, on-brand social media content featuring the company mascot “Kolo”
  • Produce engaging graphics, captions, memes, and short-form videos tailored to college students
  • Source and adapt student stories and testimonials into relatable content pieces

Social Media Management

  • Develop and manage a consistent social media content calendar
  • Publish two to three daily posts across multiple social media platforms
  • Schedule content strategically to maximize engagement and audience reach

Campaign & Audience Growth

  • Collaborate with the founding team on campaign planning and brand direction
  • Contribute creative ideas for mascot-driven campaigns and storytelling formats
  • Support audience growth and brand visibility during the platform launch phase

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor engagement trends and content performance metrics
  • Adjust content strategy, posting cadence, and creative direction based on analytics
  • Maintain strong brand consistency across all channels and campaigns

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in social media content creation
  • Strong visual storytelling and creative content production skills
  • Experience creating content for tech, startup, or app-based brands preferred
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms and platform best practices
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
  • High attention to detail and strong brand consistency awareness

Preferred:

  • Experience creating content for Gen Z or college-aged audiences
  • Familiarity with meme culture, short-form video trends, and community-driven content strategies

Scope & Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary content creator across all major social platforms
  • Support launch and growth initiatives across U.S. and European student markets
  • Collaborate directly with the founding team on branding and campaign execution
  • Adapt and evolve content strategies as new app features and partnerships are introduced
