Xero Bookkeeper (Hospitality & Trust Accounts)
Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proficient Xero Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations for a diverse portfolio, including two hospitality entities and several family trust businesses. This role is critical for maintaining the financial health of a popular bar and restaurant, ensuring that payroll for 12–15 staff members is processed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is a Xero expert who can navigate the complexities of multi-entity accounting while maintaining meticulous records across both commercial and trust accounts.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM AWST [Perth] (15 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: Process weekly payroll for 12–15 staff across two hospitality entities (bar and restaurant).
- Accounts Payable: Manage invoice payments across multiple businesses, including regular setup and payment processing.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular account reconciliations in Xero for hospitality businesses and family trust entities.
- Multi-Entity Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and distinct financial records across multiple business structures.
- Contractor Oversight: Monitor and manage timely payments to various contractors and billers.
- Operational Support: Handle essential backend administrative tasks related to daily financial operations.
- Reporting: Ensure all bookkeeping and accounting functions are performed with high accuracy to support ongoing financial health.
Requirements
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Payroll Expertise: Proven experience with payroll processing for multiple entities, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Accounting Principles: A strong, fundamental understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
- Precision: An exceptionally high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage a 20-hour weekly workload effectively.
- Organization: Superior organizational skills to handle the demands of multiple distinct business entities.

- Support for two hospitality businesses with a combined total of approximately 20 staff.
- Management of financial operations for family trust businesses and related entities.
