Social Media Manager (Wedding Photography & Videography)

Job Overview

Our client is a premier wedding photography and videography studio managing multiple intersecting brands and an upcoming app launch. Producing content for approximately 150 weddings annually, they are seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Manager to take full ownership of their digital presence. You will curate stunning visual assets from extensive galleries to create a cohesive, high-end aesthetic that resonates with couples. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who understands social media algorithms and can transition a massive volume of raw content into a strategic, engaging narrative.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM AEST (35-40 work hours per week) 

Responsibilities

  • Content Curation: Review and select the best imagery and video clips from wedding galleries to maintain a premium brand aesthetic.
  • Scheduling & Strategy: Create and execute monthly content calendars with a consistent posting cadence across all platforms.
  • Algorithm Optimization: Manage social media advertising campaigns and organic posts, adjusting strategy based on platform performance and reach.
  • Workflow Innovation: Recommend and implement social media management tools and systems to streamline the content pipeline.
  • Creative Leadership: Develop fresh content strategies that align with wedding industry trends and upcoming brand milestones.

Requirements

  • Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing professional social media platforms with a deep understanding of current algorithms.
  • Visual Taste: A strong creative eye and sophisticated visual taste specifically suited for high-quality photography and videography curation.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and contribute creative ideas without constant supervision.
  • Communication: Excellent written English skills for crafting engaging captions and brand messaging.

Qualifications

  • Experience with social media management and scheduling software (e.g., Later, Planoly, Buffer) (Preferred).
  • Background in the wedding industry, photography, or videography content creation (Preferred).
