Property Management Assistant

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Property Management Assistant to act as the linchpin in their operations, ensuring seamless communication between tenants, maintenance workers, and management. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in property management while utilizing modern software tools to optimize processes. You will handle a diverse range of responsibilities, from managing online bookings to coordinating maintenance requests, all while providing top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and excels in fast-paced environments.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (35 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to inquiries from tenants, property owners, and vendors via phone and email.
  • Efficiently manage and coordinate maintenance requests, acting as a liaison between tenants and service providers.
  • Handle online bookings and listings for both long-term and short-term rental properties.
  • Provide clear, accurate instructions to guests regarding stay details, check-in, and check-out procedures.
  • Utilize AppFolio property management software to maintain precise records and streamline operations.
  • Assist with essential administrative tasks, including document management and invoice follow-ups.
  • Coordinate and schedule property viewings and inspections as needed.
  • Contribute to the company’s growth by efficiently managing day-to-day operations and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in property management software, preferably AppFolio, or the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a talent for multitasking and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to think on your feet and resolve issues independently.
  • Basic understanding of property management principles and practices, or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
  • Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week) with potential for flexible scheduling.
  • Team player mentality with the capability to collaborate with various stakeholders including tenants, property owners, maintenance staff, and management.

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
