HR Business Partner

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to support and enhance our people operations. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong HR expertise with excellent communication skills and a high level of empathy. You will work closely with leadership and employees to ensure smooth HR processes, foster a positive work culture, and support the overall growth of the organization.

Schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (London Time), with a 1-hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
Core HR

  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Manage employee relations, including warnings, disciplinaries, and dismissals
  • Handle employment tribunals and HR-related issues
  • Oversee onboarding for new hires and offboarding for leavers
  • Draft employment contracts and legal documentation
  • Provide empathetic, fair, and unbiased support to employees
  • Maintain and manage confidential employee records
  • Track and manage staff attendance

Performance Management

  • Collect and analyze employee performance data
  • Present insights and reports to line managers and leadership
  • Develop and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
  • Support managers with performance-related decisions

Recruitment

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes
  • Post job ads and screen CVs across platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed
  • Schedule and conduct interviews
  • Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience

Learning & Development

  • Collaborate with managers to create and update training materials
  • Organize onboarding and training programs
  • Identify skill gaps and implement development initiatives

Culture & Engagement

  • Plan and execute staff events and team-building activities
  • Design and manage employee incentives and recognition programs
  • Drive virtual engagement and foster a strong company culture

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, empathetic, and solutions-oriented mindset

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
