Job Description
You’ll be the driving force behind revenue growth for a passionate pet industry company that’s scaling fast. This role puts you at the center of diverse sales opportunities—from quick magazine ad placements to comprehensive digital marketing packages. You’ll own the entire sales cycle, build lasting client relationships, and help pet businesses thrive while earning commission on top of your base pay. Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify B2B leads across multiple product lines including magazine advertising, sponsored content, and digital marketing services
  • Conduct outreach to existing prospect databases and research new potential clients in the pet industry
  • Execute sales conversations for products ranging from simple ad placements to complex website development projects
  • Set qualified appointments for high-touch services like custom website development and comprehensive digital marketing packages
  • Close direct sales for magazine advertisements, sponsored posts, and other transactional products
  • Nurture prospects through the sales funnel to achieve target conversion rates of 2-5 qualified leads daily
  • Maintain detailed communication records and track sales activities using CRM systems or Excel-based tracking
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales process
  • Adapt sales approach based on product complexity and client consultation requirements
  • Collaborate with team on lead qualification strategies and conversion optimization

Requirements

  • Proven B2B sales experience with demonstrated conversion results
  • Strong communication skills and natural ability to build rapport with prospects
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tracking tools (HubSpot experience a plus)
  • Bonus if you have experience selling digital products and services
  • It helps if you understand website development, SEO, and digital marketing concepts
  • Bonus if you have knowledge of advertising sales, particularly in publishing or media
  • It helps if you’re familiar with the pet industry or have a genuine interest in learning the market
