Job Description:
You’ll be the first point of contact for ambitious insurance sales candidates, playing a crucial role in identifying future agency owners. This isn’t just screening calls—you’re evaluating entrepreneurial potential and helping build the next generation of insurance professionals. You’ll work with high-volume applications from Indeed and LinkedIn, using your assessment skills to identify candidates who have what it takes to succeed in insurance sales and eventually run their own agencies.

A growing insurance district office that develops future agency owners through comprehensive training programs. They’re expanding rapidly with plans to bring on seven new retail agents by year-end, creating exciting opportunities for talented recruiters to impact career trajectories. The team focuses on identifying ambitious candidates who want to build careers in insurance sales and eventually own their own agencies.
Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM Pacific Time with a 30-minute paid break

Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial phone screenings of inbound applicants from job board postings
- Evaluate candidates using structured interview questions about sales experience, motivation, and professional background
- Assess communication skills, sales aptitude, and entrepreneurial mindset during brief phone conversations
- Grade candidates on a 1-10 scale using established evaluation criteria
- Identify high-potential candidates who demonstrate strong fit for insurance sales and agency ownership
- Schedule qualified candidates for second-round interviews with district management
- Input detailed candidate evaluations and notes into hiring management systems
- Maintain organized records of all candidate interactions and assessment outcomes
- Handle high-volume screening process (50-100 candidates to identify 7 final hires)
- Work directly with district office team to refine screening criteria and processes
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage candidates in meaningful conversations
- Smart, trainable, and excellent at following detailed instructions and processes
- Comfortable conducting phone-based interviews and making quick, accurate assessments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing high-volume candidate flow
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining quality standards
- Bonus if you have recruitment or talent acquisition experience
- It helps if you have experience in sales environments or understanding of sales roles
- Nice to have familiarity with insurance industry or agency business models
