Software Demonstration & Sales Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and engaging Software Demonstration & Sales Specialist to present our software to prospective clients and help convert product interest into new customers. In this role, you will conduct live product demonstrations, identify client needs, and guide prospects through the sales journey by clearly communicating the value of the software. You will also provide ongoing support to existing users while helping uncover opportunities to expand product usage. The ideal candidate combines strong presentation skills, technical understanding, and consultative sales ability to effectively demonstrate how our software solves real business problems.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Victoria, Australia Time with 1 hour unpaid break (8 hours per day / 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Product Demonstrations & Sales Conversion

  • Conduct engaging live product demonstrations via Zoom or Microsoft Teams for prospective clients

  • Clearly communicate the value, benefits, and business impact of our software

  • Guide prospects through the decision-making process and encourage next steps toward purchase or onboarding

  • Address objections and questions confidently during demos

 

Lead Qualification & Needs Discovery

  • Engage with prospects prior to demonstrations to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals
  • Tailor demonstrations to show relevant features that directly solve client pain points
  • Identify high-potential leads and communicate opportunities to the sales team

 

Customer Support & Relationship Building

  • Provide phone-based “how-to” support and troubleshooting assistance to existing clients
  • Ensure clients fully understand the platform to maximize product adoption
  • Identify opportunities for additional features, upgrades, or expanded usage

 

Technical Issue Coordination

  • Escalate complex technical issues to the internal support team
  • Act as a liaison between customers and technical teams to ensure timely resolution

 

Post-Demo Follow-Up

  • Follow up with prospects after demonstrations to answer questions and support the sales process
  • Reinforce product value and help move prospects closer to adoption

 

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of demos, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM systems such as Pipedrive
  • Track demo outcomes, prospect feedback, and potential sales opportunities

 

Requirements

  • Experience in software demonstrations, SaaS sales, or technical pre-sales
  • Strong presentation and consultative selling skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and CRM systems
  • Ability to manage multiple demos, support requests, and follow-ups while maintaining a high level of customer service

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
