Bookkeeper – Outdoor Recreation | Remote 

Role Name: Bookkeeper 

Schedule: 20 hours per week; Monday to Friday 12pm to 4pm

They’re scaling quickly while maintaining strong financial relationships with public sector partners who rely on detailed performance reporting to justify and expand their programs.

Job Description: 

You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and preparing key performance reports that help government partners understand the success of their outdoor recreation programs. This part-time role offers flexibility while contributing to a mission-driven company that’s making outdoor activities more accessible to communities across the country. Your expertise will directly impact business decisions and partner relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed monthly performance reports for government park system partners
• Handle general bookkeeping and accounting tasks across multiple business locations
• Maintain accurate financial records for a multi-location operation
• Support financial reporting and analysis for business decision-making
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements for government partnerships
• Assist with budget planning and financial forecasting as needed

Requirements:

• Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience
• Ability to prepare detailed, accurate financial reports for external stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Comfort working with multi-location business operations
• Flexibility to adapt to startup pace and varying priorities
• Bonus if you have experience with government or public sector financial reporting
• It helps if you’re familiar with outdoor recreation or seasonal business models
